Sidney Foster
Hi, I’m Sidney Foster! I’m 23 years old and a proud former collegiate volleyball player. I began my volleyball journey in 5th grade after being inspired by friends a grade above me. From the moment I watched them play, I knew this sport was for me—and it’s shaped my life ever since.
I played two years of college volleyball at Wabash Valley College before transferring to West Virginia State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree and am currently pursuing my master’s. During my time at Wabash, I began giving private lessons, and when I moved to WVSU, I continued coaching through a club organization and one-on-one sessions during my off-season. I also had the opportunity to coach a 16U team for the Mountain Monsters volleyball club—an experience that further deepened my love for developing young athletes.
My passion for coaching was first sparked when I helped with my junior high team, and it’s only grown stronger over the years. I’m especially excited to be part of this organization because I once played for this very club in high school. It played a major role in helping me grow as both an athlete and a student, opening doors to further my academic and athletic career. Now, I get to give back and help the next generation of players chase their goals just like I did.
When I’m not on the court, I’m spending time with my rescue dog, Hazel Grace—she’s the sweetest girl and my constant sidekick.
Let’s get to work and make this season one to remember!
